Pastor's Message

Reverend Jim McIlrath, Senior Minister

Having a little car trouble, I’ve been taking Mrs. Mac to her work at Peach Co. As you know, they are going to school four days a week, and have to clock in by 7:00 a.m.   As I was coming to the church after dropping her off, going east on Russell, the sun was just below the horizon. It was one of those mornings when the sky looks like a canvas, and the clouds are brush strokes. It was not just beautiful, it was memorable, and I was thankful to be able to see it.

One of the pre-school age little girls in our church was playing after the service with a little boy who was a year or so younger. He looked up and said, “Where’s my mommy?" She took him by the hand and said, “I’ll take you to her.” It was not just beautiful, it was memorable, and I was thankful to be able to see it.

During the month of September, I will be preaching a series of sermons on the Christ-like life. It can be a beautiful thing to see and experience. Join us, and invite others.

    See you Sunday.
