Boy Scouts of America has been helping serve others and instill values in young people and, in other ways, to prepare them to make ethical choices during their lifetime in achieving their full potential. Christ United has hosted Troop 550 since 1995 and is proud to have had 120 Scout reach Eagle Scout. We have over 40 young men who are active in our program but always looking for new participants. The Cub Scouts are one of the BSA's premier programs, offering citizenship, character, personal fitness, and leadership for youth in grades K to 5. Christ United hosts Pack 422 that meets on the fourth Monday of the month at 6pm. For more information contact the Pack Leader Jamey Sillence.
Girl Scouting builds girls who are courageous, confident, honorable, and strive to make the world a better place. We are proud to host Troops 60412 and 60012 at our church. Troop 60412 is a multi-level troop that meets Fridays at 7pm. Troop 60012 is a Daisy/Brownie level troop that meets every other Thursday at 6pm. Christ United partners with Family Promise of Greater Houston County which exist to help homeless families with children to regain their housing, their independence, and their dignity. In Houston County over a dozen churches work together to share the love of God with these families by providing meals and fellowship. Christ United hosts families once a quarter throughout the year. Meals on Wheels covers all of Houston County, GA including Warner Robins, Centerville, Perry, Kathleen, Bonaire, and all towns in between. Their mission is to provide home delivered meals to homebound seniors and disabled people of all ages . These meals enable their clients to keep their independence longer. One of the ways Christ serves in our community is by partnering with the Warner Robins First United Methodist Food Panty. Warner Robins First is located at 205 N. Davis Drive.
